How do I edit my payroll period? I do not see the "Payroll and Services" under "Payroll Settings" I have Core Payroll

I'm here to help edit your payroll period in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll Core. 

 

To verify, are you trying to edit a pay period for a payroll that isn't yet created? If yes, you can go to the Employees info and change the pay period from there. Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click Payroll from the left menu, then select Employees.
  3. Choose the employee you want to edit the pay period. Then, click Edit employee.
  4. From the How often do you pay [employee]? drop-down, select the pay schedule for the employee moving forward. Or, to create a new pay schedule, select Add new and fill out the appropriate fields.
  5. Click OK, then select Done.

However, if you're trying to edit a pay period to the existing paycheck, you'll need to delete and recreate it. Let me guide you how.

 

  1. Run the Paycheck List report, then find the paycheck with the incorrect pay period.
  2. Put a checkmark on the paycheck and select Delete.
  3. Once done, recreate the paycheck with the correct pay period.

 

You may want to run and customize payroll reports in QBO. This will help you view useful information about your business and employees.

How do I edit my payroll period? I do not see the "Payroll and Services" under "Payroll Settings" I have Core Payroll

I have used desktop for 10 years and just switched to online. I'm trying to figure out how to file and pay my NC payroll taxes automatically but I get a message stating that " the payment can't be made because the enrollment process isn't complete." It doesn't tell me what more I need to do.

I'm here to help complete your payroll set up.

 

After moving to QuickBooks Online from QuickBooks Desktop, transactions and payroll accounts are converted to balance your books. However, the details behind the transactions, such as payroll item breakdowns and employee year-to-date numbers, don't convert. To complete the payroll set up, you can follow these steps:

 

 

  1. From the Payroll tab, select Overview.
  2. Select Start.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Enter your business and tax details.
  6. Connect your bank.
  7. Click Start.
  8. Continue with the on-screen prompts to successfully set up payroll.

 

From there, you can start setting up the e-services to start filing and paying taxes: Set up e-file and e-pay in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
