Buy nowHello there, userinfo154. I'm here to share additional details on why the partial payments auto applies when you record invoice fees in QuickBooks Online.
Have you enabled the automatic credit application for your invoices?
Once this feature is activated, it will automatically apply the customer credit to your invoices; especially when they have credits available.
If you wish to disable the automatic credit application in QuickBooks, adhere to the steps outlined in the provided sources.
Furthermore, you can also take advantage of our Progress Invoicing feature. It allows you to split an estimate as many invoices as you need. Instead of asking for full payment, you can invoice customers for partial payments. To get in-depth information about this feature, check out this link: Set up and send progress invoices.
Keep in touch if you have any other concerns when managing invoices in QuickBooks. I'll always be right here to assist you further.
