Greetings, @trixie.
Thank you for posting in the Community. I'd be happy to help share some information about disabling QuickBooks Online (QBO) prompts to set up online payments.
Currently, the option to turn off this alert about setting up the online payments feature is unavailable. This is, however, a great idea and I'll send this suggestion to our Product Developers to see if they can add this for future QBO updates.
I'm also inviting you to send your feedback. QBO is a constantly evolving platform and the voice of users, like yourself, helps steer the changes that occur.

Thanks for letting us know about your experience. I'm happy to help some more if you have other questions about QBO. Have a great day.
Has this been resolved yet? Also finding this annoying.
What is the status on this. Seems like a simple fix in code but qbonline doesn’t seem to have fixed yet. Very disappointing
This is ridiculous. Forcing people to click out of that window is obviously on purpose. Give us the ability to disable the pop-up!
Has this been resolved yet? I'm tired of click off these pop-up messages! If I wanted to set up online payments I would do it. But I use another service that integrates with my website. Please allow us the ability to "Dismiss" these nag screens.
Has this been resolved? This is still happening and very annoying.
Thank you for following up on this thread, ValorInspect.
I acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the Set up payments message and how it has disrupted your workflow. Allow me to provide some insight into why you're receiving this notification.
The pop-up notifications are designed to provide suggestions and guidance for improving your QuickBooks experience. Let's simply click on the X button to remove the message from appearing in your company.
We value our customers' voices and ideas, especially when developing new features or improving existing ones. This will determine which aspects of the product need to be improved.
You can let our engineers know that incorporating a tool for users to disable notifications and pop-ups automatically would improve QuickBooks Online (QBO) working experience. Here's how to send your feedback:

Ridiculous excuse, blatant forced advertisement. Disappointing.
Why would we bother to ask the engineers when this has been being requested since 2019? It wouldn't be hard to do, it wouldn't require any complicated code.. It's obvious that you don't want to let us turn it off because the company thinks they'll convince us to buy that service too.
I have no employees, I will never have employees again - I'm never going to sign up for that service because I will never need it - if I had to hire anyone at this point I'll shut it down and take retirement a few years early. So I'll just continue to be annoyed with it.
