How to a delete a sales tax adjustment. I wanted to decrease liability due to a pre-payment and the adjustment increased my balance due..

Hi, userjcrabtree.

 

I can guide you on how you can delete a sales tax adjustment.

 

You'll have the option to remove a sales tax adjustment in QuickBooks Online(QBO). I'll show you how.

 

1. Click the Settings ⚙.

2. Select Chart of Accounts.

3. Find the income or expense account you use to add an adjustment.

4. Hit Run report.

5. Choose the adjustment you need to delete.

6. Click Delete.

7. Then Delete again to confirm.

 

Also, you can reach out to your account before you delete the tax adjustment to make sure that your account is accurate.
