How to reconcile a paycheck cashed before the pay date

Hello there, @hardev. Let's remove the date filter on the reconciliation page to match the paycheck cashed before its pay date in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to guide you how.

You're already on the right track in reconciling your account in QBO. When a termination paycheck was issued and cashed from the previous month (date issued 5/30/22 and cashed 5/31/22), but its official pay date is on the current one (6/3/22), you'll have to clear the date filter to view all your transactions. This way, you're able to reconcile the said paycheck and match your bank statement. To do this, here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Select Reconcile.
  3. From the Account dropdown, select the account you want to reconcile.
  4. Click the Resume reconciling button.
  5. In the Reconcile [account name] page, click the Clear filter / View all option or filter the Date to All80.PNG
  6. Manually locate the paycheck dated 6/3/22 and put a checkmark next to the amount to mark it as reconciled. 81.PNG

Then, go ahead and continue reconciling your account. For the complete guide, please see this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Also, I would encourage you to perform the reconciliation process every month. This helps monitor your income and expense transactions and detect any possible errors accordingly. In case you need further assistance in doing or fixing a reconciliation in QBO, you may want to check out this article as your reference: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

You can keep me posted on how it goes by clicking the Reply button below. If you have other reconciliation concerns or questions about managing transactions in QBO, I'm always ready to help. Take care, and have a great day, @hardev.
