In desktop I was able to go to the Payroll Item list and generate a QuickReport on any of the items. How do I generate a report on Payroll Items in Quickbooks Online?
The only way I see to even see a list of Payroll Items is to edit one of my employees.
I'm trying to see all the paychecks that used the "bonus" payroll item, and add a column to show the (customer) name that I tagged when I paid the bonus. The bonus item is mapped to wages, so looking at wages on the Chart of Accounts has not been helpful.
Thank you!
QuickBooks Online provides several payroll reports that you can use to view your employees' information, ValkyrieAnne.
You can run the Payroll Details Reports make sure to select the correct Report period to show you some detailed information about your employees including the bonus check that you've created if there's any. To run a report, follow the steps below:
Aside from that, you may want to select other payroll reports in QuickBooks Online. Here's an article: Run Payroll Reports.
You can also filter them to show only the information that you want. Please read this article for more information: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Online.

@MariaSoledadG thank you for your reply.
I already went through the payroll reports. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way set a filter for the bonus or any of the payroll items.
Is there a another way to access the payroll items list?
Allow me to share additional information about the report that you need, ValkyrieAnne.
Being able to generate a payroll list report isn't an option in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You need to open each record of employees to see their items.
Or you can run the Employee Details report to know which items were used when you run payroll. To access the report, here are the steps to follow:
There are several payroll reports you can pull up in QBO. Please browse this link to learn more about them: Run payroll reports.

3 years later and there's still no way to run a report to find Bonus payments made to employees via Quickbooks Online Payroll.
As an employer, it is important for me to be able to see these payments easily and it's disappointing that this is still not a possibility. Currently I have to keep track of bonus payments in a separate spreadsheet, and I have to enter them at the time of payment, otherwise it's a long, time consuming process of going through each paycheck for each employee to find out when a bonus was paid and what it was for.
In addition to that. There is no way to link these bonuses to a particular project that we are working on. So in essence there is no true way to find the cost of a project without keeping a separate record that I then account for at the end. A very big gap in the capabilities of the QBO software.
Thanks for getting involved with this thread, NaRis.
I can certainly understand how a bonus payments payroll report could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.
