I've used QB payroll for years but have never used the efile WH3 option. Really nervous to try without talking to someone from Indiana with experience using this feature.
If I use QB to send WH3 and state W2s - will INTIME acknowledge the submission?
Thanks for reaching out to us about your payroll question, DKHARTSOUGH. Filing payroll tax forms with the proper agencies on time is a crucial year-end task.
I want to assure you that the tax forms in QuickBooks Desktop comply with state requirements, including those of the Indiana Taxpayer Information Management Engine (INTIME). The system formats the forms to meet each state's specifications so you can seamlessly e-file the WH-3 and other returns online.
This means when you e-file the state WH-3 form directly from QuickBooks, it will be successfully accepted by the Indiana Department of Revenue.
Many other QuickBooks users have also been utilizing the built-in e-file feature to submit both federal and state payroll tax forms.
Here are some helpful articles with more details on e-filing payroll tax forms:
Please let me know if you have any other concerns or questions, DKHARTSOUGH. I'd be happy to provide more details on e-filing payroll taxes through QuickBooks Desktop.
@jenop2 I appreciate your reply. Have you yourself efiled a WH3 to Indiana ? I'm really wanting to connect with someone from Indiana. I want to understand how the QB transmission of the WH3 and state copy of W2 interacts with INTIME. Will I be able to look at the clients INTIME account and see a WH3 submission date ?
