Will you receive any bill from the licensor? or do you only need a reminder to pay it without any bills?

Hi there, @teambrown.

You can pay the royalties quarterly as expenses in QuickBooks Online. I'll guide you how.

  1.  Click the + New button and then choose Expense.
  2. Choose a payee and an account.
  3. Set the Payment date.
  4. Enter the information in the Category details section.
  5. Once you're done, click on Save and close.

I'd suggest consulting an accountant for further guidance on which account to use in the expense transaction.

Also, I've included an article that'll guide you in handling your payable transactions in QuickBooks Online: What is the difference between bills, checks, and expenses?.

I'm always here to help, @teambrown. Have a good one.

No - I do not receive a bill - an I think I was really not clear - I need to do royalty reports - paying royalties is simple - it's paying a bill- the thing I need is a simple way to do royalty reports

I think I was not clear in what I was asking about - I am looking for a simple to do royality reports with QB - I can sort by vendor and then put it n excel and then pay them - but i'm looking for an easier way - possibly a plug in.  Paying them is as simple as paying a bill - so that is why I think I was not clear.  Do you have any ideas?

Thanks for getting back to us and clarifying your concerns, teambrown.

QuickBooks Online integrates with lots of third-party apps.

You may consider looking for a third-party application that can help you integrate with QBO. You can visit our QuickBooks Apps Center to find the best tool for you: Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home.

We also have a separate forum for Intuit Developers where you can find engineers who can help suggest third-party apps and program integrations. Here's the link to the website: Intuit Developer

I'll be right here if you need further help. Have a good one!
