As I know, Milleage data will not be converted. You should keep your QB Desktop program to access your historical data for good.

We appreciate you for posting here in the Community, Max. Here's why mileage is excluded when migrating from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, it's important to note that the mileage tracking data won't automatically transfer over. You'll need to add your mileage tracking from QBDT to QBO manually. To do this, you can add a trip in QBO and manually record the past mileage tracking. Here's how:

  1. Use the web when accessing QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Expenses, and then Mileage.
  3. Click Add a Trip.
  4. Enter the trip date, starting and ending locations, distance, and purpose.
  5. Set up the vehicle you used.
  6. Once done, hit Save.

Moreover, scan this article to understand more about the limitations of data movements from QBDT to QBO: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online

On the other hand, learn how to handle your subscription information inside QBO by clicking this link: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online

thank you for the prompt response. What other data is not migrated over?  I surely wish the sales department would have told me what would not migrate over. This is being a very bad experience.

@Max Sales

Make sure to secure your last backup file. You might consider switching back to QB Desktop and upgrading to a newer version (e.g 2022).
