I need to have an employee's wage come from salary and field work. Payroll mapping isn't allowing funds to come from 2 separate accounts. Any suggestions?

I tried to set the employee up as 2 separate employees; however, QuickBooks won't let me use the social security number twice.

Paying employees from different bank accounts is unavailable in QuickBooks Online, gilmoretwp_clerk. I can suggest some things you can do to achieve your goal.

You can have two bank accounts for payroll if you're not using direct deposit. However, running paychecks utilizes only a single bank account. In this case, switch back and forth between financial institutions after processing the pending transactions. Here's an article that explains the process in depth: Change Your Payroll Bank Account.

Additionally, setting up a duplicate employee profile under one social security number is unobtainable. Find out more about managing employment information through this resource: Edit or Change Employee Info in Payroll.
