I want to use QB online payroll but my bank does not have the capability

QuickBooks Online Payroll can help you run payroll automatically, @Faustina.

 

You'll need to set a payroll bank account where your direct deposit and payroll taxes are withdrawn from. To update or change it, you can go to your Payroll Settingspayroll.JPG

 

Once you found a bank that can support your QuickBooks Online Payroll account, you can follow the steps below in setting it up. 

 

  1. Prepare your bank account information and your principal officer’s physical address. The principal officer serves as the main contact for a bank account from which electronic payments (including direct deposit) are made. 
  2. Create an account for this bank from your chart of accounts. This will make sure that your payroll transactions post to the correct register in QuickBooks.
  3. Verify you don’t have any pending tax payments or payroll transactions.
  4. You can now go to your payroll settings to update your bank account info.
  5. After verifying your bank account info, you can now change it in your accounting preferences.
