In QB Online, how do you change the payroll direct deposit processing date from 5 business days to 3. I found the way to change it, but that option is grayed out.

In QB Desktop, I could process direct deposit on Tuesday and it would be deposited into employees accounts on Friday. QB Online, not so much. It wants me to process on let's say Friday, Feb 2 to be deposited by Friday, Feb 9. HELP!

Thanks for posting here, @userislandperformanc.

Let me route you to the best help possible in changing your payroll direct deposit processing date.

For direct deposit users, we recommend contacting the QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) Team. They can pull up your account in a safe environment and check why your button to change direct deposit is greyed out. Moreover, they will find the root cause and find a fix. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

I'll also share this article to help you understand more about direct deposit setup:  When to send your direct deposit payroll.

I have done all of that and was basically told today that even though I have been with Quickbooks since 2009, that I have to wait 6 months to have my direct deposit processing time moved BACK to 3 days. I have processed my payroll via direct deposit in QB Desktop version at least since 2017 but because I decided to move to QB Online in Dec 2023, I have to wait.......I was suppose to speak to an ADVANCED EXPERT this morning. Had a confirmed set date/time for today at 10:30 and then crickets. When I inquired, the advanced expert acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. Then when I emailed her the appointment confirmation THAT SHE SENT, I have still not hear a peep from her. So I got in touch with a payroll expert today and basically was told nope. I asked to speak to someone else, a manager, supervisor, regional director, etc and nothing. So now I am looking for another payroll processing software. I am done with Quickbooks. It is a shame that my tenure with this company means absolutely nothing.
