Good day, JBH2
Let me guide you on how to successfully e-file your 1099s in QuickBooks.
This unusual behavior could be caused by locally stored internet cache files, which explains why you received this error message when submitting the form.
We'll run some troubleshooting steps so you can submit your forms and get back to business. First, let's access your QuickBooks Online account through a private or incognito window. Depending on the browser, use the following keyboard shortcut:
If you're able to create and file 1099s, you can go back to your regular browsing window and clear its cache. This will remove outdated and corrupted internet files that can cause browsing issues.
Alternatively, you can check out and use a different supported browser that works best with QuickBooks Online.
Let me know in the comments section below if you have other concerns or questions about 1099s. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Keep safe.
I am getting the following error. I have tried an Incognito browser, using different browsers, updating payment information, and none of them work. I still get the same error!

I kept getting an error message "Something Not Right We couldn't fetch your 1099s for filing. Please try again Later." I was finally able to file them by having a Administrator sign in and complete the e-file.
I also can't efile our 1099s ... this is the error message:
"Unable to process your request at this time. Please sign out and try again later. If the issue persists, please contact support and reference this message.(Error code:-81705)"
I was also getting error 81705. It was because I did not have the correct permissions to send 1099s.
