Is there a way to send a prenote in QB to verify an employee's bank information?

Thank you for contacting us, billing44.

Right now, sending a prenote is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop.

You may look for a third-party application that can integrate with QuickBooks to help verify the employee's bank information.

If you wish to update the employee's direct deposit information:

  1. Go to the Employees menu, then select Employee Center.

  2. Double-click the name of the employee.
  3. Go to the Payroll Info tab, then click Direct Deposit.

  4. Enter the employee's financial institution information (Bank Name, Routing No., Account No., and Account Type).
  5. If you chose to deposit to two accounts, enter the amount or percentage that the employee wants to deposit to the first account in the Amount to Deposit field. The remainder goes to the second account.
  6. Click OK to save the information.
  7. Enter your direct deposit PIN when prompted.

I've also added this article, Change your direct deposit bank account for QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Basic, Standard or Enhanced for more details. It provides instructions and detailed steps for your guidance.

Feel free to leave a comment below if there's anything else you need concerning payroll. I'm always glad to help you out.
