I am trying to file a quarterly tax report, but continue to receive a message that says I have paid an employee who does not have an occupational code entered. In the first place, there was a code entered for her. Secondly, I have erased, refreshed, re-entered 4 times and the same message keeps coming up. I am unable to print or file the report until this is fixed. Does anyone know what I can do here?! I have even tried these things in different browsers. Help!!
Thanks for the detailed information, @akaccountantvlb.

Two years after this was posted, I'm still having the same problem with occupational codes. It is saying every code is invalid. Any idea what is going on with this and why it's still a problem?
I’m chiming in on this thread to address your concern about entering occupational codes in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @riverviewpcare.
To sort this out, I’d recommend performing basic troubleshooting steps. In this manner, we can eliminate common errors that may occur in your company file. To start, please open your browser's private window. It isolates the cache, which is the common cause of a browser's unusual behavior.
Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:
If you can log in to your account successfully, clear the cache in the browser to prevent this from happening again. An excessive amount of cached data may cause QuickBooks to perform oddly. If you have another supported browser, you can choose that instead.
However, if you experienced the same after following the steps above. Then, it would be best to contact our Payroll Support Team. This way, they can look into your account securely and provide fixes in no time. You can refer to this article on how you can contact them and their support hours to reach out to them at a time convenient for you: Contact Payroll Support
Stay in touch if you have more questions about entering occupational codes. I’ll be around to lay a hand for help. Stay safe!
