QuickBooks Online made various improvements to enhance user experience, @MBryant817. The latest update has introduced a new way to access the Task feature.
The Get Things Done (GTD) page has now been updated for all customers. Instead of the Get Things Done page, a new one called Home has been added, where you can find the task option.
Here's how:
If you can't locate the task option on the home page, you can click on Customize the Layout and then select Add or Remove Widgets. Under Customize your dashboard, find the task, and check the box.
In addition, I'll be adding this article to help you manage your business expenses: Enter and manage expenses in QuickBooks Online.
If you have any questions about the display menus, please do not hesitate to let us know. We're here to help. Have a great day!
This is what I see. I am assuming because it is QBO Advanced it is not working.
I appreciate the screenshot you shared, which gives us a better view of the situation, @MBryant817.
Get Things Done and task pages have been updated for QuickBooks Advance. The only options visible under Dashboard are Home, Cash Flow, and Planner.
The task page was moved from the dashboard menu. You can now find the Task page under the Menu section or at the top navigation bar. Please see the screenshot below.
The task feature allows for creating and assigning tasks automatically, providing more flexibility and ease in managing work across the platform. For further guidance, please refer to this article: Add and review task in QuickBooks Online Advance.
I understand the importance of the task feature for you. I suggest submitting your feedback to our Product Engineers so they can consider including it in future product updates.
Furthermore, I'll add this article to help you alternatively add reminders and manage your invoices.
Please let us know if you have further queries about the displayed menus. I'm here to help. Have a good one.
Since getting things done has been eliminated. I have been looking at my recurring list. But noticed one I have used a transaction the next date is not updating.
Thanks for getting back to us, @MBryant817.
I've checked my resources and have found an ongoing investigation about the date not updating on recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Rest assured that our engineers are diligently working on a fix so you can get back to business promptly.
In the meantime, I suggest contacting our customer support team, so you'll be added to the list of impacted users. This way, you'll receive email updates about the status of the investigation.
To do that:
Moreover, you can run the Recurring Template List report to view all your recurring transactions in one place.
Please don't hesitate to visit the Community if you need additional assistance with recurring transactions. We're always here to help. Stay safe.
My solution:
Go to Bookmarks> Hit the pencil to customize the menu. Select BILLS and save.
Then Select BILLS in the list on the left and Bills in the menu across the top.
Create a filter by date: I used Jan 1 - Dec 31 this year.
This creates the list I'm used to seeing in Get Things Done.
I'm having the same issue. Except my page is blank. Even if I try to go add "tasks" and hit save, I still have a blank page.. frustrating to have to hunt for everything now.
Even if I click the Dashboard , then home, there is nothing there... Blank page
I know a couple of troubleshooting steps to assist you in resolving the blank page issue and getting your work back on track, CCFulk.
The outdated stored cache can affect the performance of the program. I recommend accessing your account using a private window. This way, we can determine whether this is a browser cache-related issue. Incognito mode helps us verify the issue since this doesn't save any files.
Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
If the submitted form shows, clear the browser's cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. You may also use other supported browsers as an alternative.
However, if the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our Support Team. This way, one of our agents can review your account in a secure environment and investigate this matter further. You may follow the steps shared by my colleague above or click this link: QuickBooks Online Support
