This is what I did:
For the accrual period select "every hour on paycheck"
in the Hours accrued per hour paid type in ".03333" (if you take .0333 x 30 hrs worked=1hr sick/safe time accrued)
Maximum hrs to accrue "48hrs"
I Selected "Reset hrs each new year & choose maximum of 80hrs to carryover which they would only accrue that many if they don't use it after the 2nd year. I believe the law states they can carry over 80hrs max. If they quit or get fired they don't get paid for sick & safe time hours accrued. I'm hoping the "carry over" works the way I want it to.
I tried to go into my hours accrued per hour paid and it keeps changing it from .03333 to .02.
So frustrating..
I see how essential it is for you to set up hours accrued per hour paid based on the number you choose. I'll provide how it works in QuickBooks and ensure you can handle your sick and vacation data properly.
QuickBooks program authorizes you to set up company preferences that let you organize the software to work the way you need it to. With this, it could be the time format set up in your account is in a Minute and that's the reason entering .03333 keeps changing to .02.
To fix it, I recommend going to the General section and updating the time setting format to Decimal. However, please note that this only accepts up to two decimals so it only allows you to enter .03 instead of .03333.
