I've prepared the necessary steps to resolve the issue of employees not receiving their direct deposit paychecks in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @APS-ER.

 

Since the employees haven't received their pay, it could be due to a rejection or misplacement of funds into the wrong account. Rest assured, I'm here to help you recover them based on the situation.

 

First, if the account or routing number is incorrect, contact the receiving bank to determine if the account exists. If it does, request a direct deposit reversal within five business days from the pay date. Otherwise, void the paycheck, update the employee's bank account, and send a new direct deposit.

 

Second, if the funds are deposited to another employee's account, here are your options to recover them:

 

  • Arrange for the employee who received the funds to return them via cash, check, or another method.
  • Request a direct deposit reversal within five business days from the pay date.
