printing paychecks. Not just the stub

I'd be happy to walk you through the process of printing paychecks in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll, Daniel.

First, please know that pay stubs are included by default when you print paychecks in QBO. Before beginning the process, it's essential to configure your printing preferences for paycheck printing. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings, then select Payroll settings.
  2. In the Printing section, click the pencil icon.
  3. Select Paychecks on QuickBooks-compatible check paper.

  4. Choose between Print paycheck plus 1 pay stub or Print paycheck plus 2 pay stubs.
  5. Hit Save, then Done.

Then, proceed to print the paycheck.

  1. Go to Payroll and click Employees.
  2. Select Paycheck list.
  3. Locate the paycheck you want to print and click Print under the Action column.

I can print the check with stubs individually, but when I try to print the paychecks as a group, the PDF only comes up with the stubs. My settings are correct, and I just encountered this issue yesterday.

printing paychecks. Not just the stub

I have been printing my own paychecks for many years on my own paycheck paper and tonight when I ran payroll I notice that I cannot print paychecks unless it is printed on quickbooks preprinted check stock paper.  Is this correct?   I did not receive any notice of this change to printing and now cannot print my emploees' paychecks.

Hi there, @wjcarney.

You have the option to print paychecks using a QuickBooks-compatible voucher or to print pay stubs on plain paper. I will guide you through the steps to resolve any issues you have with them in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Possible reasons for printing issues include the printer, browser, or software. In your case, we should first check your printing preferences, printer setup, or print alignment. Therefore, we can adjust the alignment and resolve the issues by following the steps outlined in this article: Fix print alignment for paychecks.

Also for a better experience, be sure to set up your printing preferences using the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Printing section and click the pencil icon to edit.
  3. Select either Pay stubs on paper or Paycheck on QuickBooks-compatible check paper.
  4. Then, hit Save.

Once you configure your printing alignment but encounter the same challenges, refer to this article for other ways of addressing printing problems: Troubleshoot printing paychecks, pay stubs, and forms in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

After that, you can start printing your pay stubs to submit for proof of income. QuickBooks also offers various payroll reports detailing employees' gross pay, deductions, and tax data. To learn more and access these reports, check out this article: Run payroll reports.

Printing pay stubs is quick and easy, allowing employees to access their earnings effortlessly, @wjcarney. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. We're here to help!
