problem efiling after saving 941

I'll help you make sure that you're able to send your tax form electronically, nal51.

First, make sure that your 941 filing method is set to E-file. Here's how:

  1. Click the Change Filing Method link in the bottom part of the File Forms tab.
  2. Select Filing methods in the left-hand menu.
  3. Look for Federal Form 941 and double click on it.
  4. Set the filing method to E-file.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Do the same for all tax forms that you want to e-file.
  7. Click Finish Later.

Second, open the form once again. Review all the details and click Check for Errors. Then, click Submit Form. It's the page where you can see the E-file button.

You can follow the steps in this article if you want to check the status of the form that you e-filed: Check E-file Or E-pay Status.

I'd also like to share this checklist for additional reference when performing your year-end tasks: Year-end Checklist For QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Thanks!  I didn’t know I should create an entirely new 941 to access file once I had saved it!  I was trying to exile an already saved form ( I printed and saved before I edited).  Thanks !  Huge help
