Your company file may have been damaged that's why you've got the error message. Let's run the verify and rebuild data to make sure you're data is free from any issues. Before doing so, please backup your company file for future use.
Follow these instructions whenever you're ready:
- In your QuickBooks for Mac file, go to the File menu.
- Click Utilities, then Verify Data.
- QuickBooks will check the file for damage and notify you if it finds any. If errors are found, continue with the next step.
- Go to the File menu.
- Select Utilities, then Rebuild Data.
- Once the Rebuild is complete, import your data once again.
