QB for Mac desktop has stopped importing payroll from CORE

Hello, mannerplumbing.

I'll ensure you'll be able to import your payroll data from QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac.

Your company file may have been damaged that's why you've got the error message. Let's run the verify and rebuild data to make sure you're data is free from any issues. Before doing so, please backup your company file for future use.

Follow these instructions whenever you're ready:

  1. In your QuickBooks for Mac file, go to the File menu.
  2. Click Utilities, then Verify Data.
  3. QuickBooks will check the file for damage and notify you if it finds any. If errors are found, continue with the next step.
  4. Go to the File menu.
  5. Select Utilities, then Rebuild Data.
  6. Once the Rebuild is complete, import your data once again.

Feel free to visit our Help Articles page to learn some best practices on how to manage your QBOP account and QBDT for the Mac company file. You can switch between your product in the Select a product section.

I'll be glad to help you again if you have more questions about importing data. Just add the details in the comment section.
