QB's desktop payroll service has become a scam for some of us!

Our payroll is processed offsite by a third-party, which takes care of all the records and filings.

We subscribe to the QB basic payroll service because it's easier to input the data into desktop QB.

But QB has decided that if clients are subscribed to a payroll service, they need to also pay a fee to Enterprise for each employee, for some reason.

When this whole mess started the Enterprise rep we talked to said we could continue on the basic payroll service for posting, and we wouldn't be charged per employee.

But we just got a bill.

The rep we spoke to today said there was nothing he could do, either we pay for this useless service or cancel our basic payroll subscription.

I am so done with this company. I've been with them since Quicken and they've become just another incompetent money grubbing entity out to make money for stockholders, clients be damned.

My bosses can make whatever decision they want, but for me I will no longer be able to recommend QB's products or services. Any of them. To the contrary, I feel strongly that I should warn people away from what has become an awful company. Charging us for payroll services we didn't ask them for, have never used, don't want, and that they can't actually provide

Which QB Desktop year version do you have?

Why do you need to subscribe to QB Payroll? You can import your payroll expenses data from your 3rd party service provider as JE in QB Desktop

Please stop posting boilerplate that in no way addresses my concern, which is that we don't want to pay you for a service we don't need and that you aren't providing.

I'm hoping to not have to do that. It's a ton of unnecessary work.
