QuickBooks Desktop Direct Deposit Fee Increase

Everything I've read about this ridiculous fee increase refers to "QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll for Accountants". We use QuickBooks Premier Accountant Edition and QuickBooks Enterprise. Will the fee increase affect our clients using these products?

Ask your clients to consider switching to QB Desktop Enterprise Gold. They can purchase a new license trough selected partners to get perpetual discount for renewals. The following table to compare with QB Desktop Pro + QB Desktop Payroll.

Ok, so this confirms it.  Intuit hates accountants.  Why the increase just for us?  Makes no sense for Intuit to bite the hand that feeds.

Because they force you to persuade your clients to switch to QBO.

Both of you correct.  I've increased my fees, but I can only do so much in that regard.  Factoring inflation I'm losing money - which is not my objective.  I've not spoken to a colleague yet who recommends QBO payroll.  Most have gone with another source such as Gusto, which has it's share of issues but not one practitioner I've spoken with has indicated any desire to find another payroll company.

So do we all go back to paperchecks?
