Sharp decline in quality of support

Since the beginning of the year there has been a SHARP decline in the quality of support people available to help with necessary issues.

 

We are busy, we have several clients using your product regularly, funneling money to your company.  Why can't we receive quality help when we need it?

 

Why have I been on the phone for an hour with someone who can't help me?

 

Why does someone trying to troubleshoot payroll tax issues (based on improper set up by intuit) not know that our reporting agency is called the IRS?

 

Why is intuit not providing all the forms I need to be able to properly e file my taxes?

 

What is happening quickbooks?

I can't e-file anything.  The support person could not solve that problem.  I am to find form 8655 (fine) and submit it to my "reporting agency" on my own. (When I asked if this would solve the reporting issues with the state also the rep couldn't tell me)  Meanwhile, as explained to the rep, the IRS had an issue with the business name when I set up payroll in January so I wanted to make sure the form wouldn't be rejected, as the rep could not get the system to send me an already completed form (not to mention that I already completed all of this during the onboarding process).  So, I now have to file and pay all payroll taxes manually which begs the question, what am I paying you for?

Now I received another email stating the business name is incorrect.  A problem your customer support allegedly solved weeks ago.

 

This shouldn't' be so hard.  Why is this so hard?

We don't want you to feel this inconvenience, @Bookkeeper394. Please know that helping you to e-file your taxes is our top priority.

 

Allow me to provide some information about the email you've received and help you from there.

 

When you enroll for electronic filing, you'll want to ensure that the filing name matches exactly with the name on record for your company with the IRS. Thus, the IRS will reject any enrollment for which name and EIN are mismatched. Here's an article you can read for more details: Setup E-File & Pay.

 

However, if you still encounter difficulty filing your taxes, I highly suggest reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Team again. I understand that you already contacted them before, but they're the best support group who can help dig deeper into this issue. Then, provide the best resolution on this matter.

Thank you for providing this information for me, Mark, however I am well aware of this.  So aware that I spoke with support back in January about it several times until I got a support rep on the phone who understood me well enough to follow that the problem was that the field within quickbooks didn't allow enough characters to solve the problem, at which point he went in on the back end and repaired that.  

 

Today, the representative was so incompetent I can only assume that he went back in and re-entered the incorrect name because that is the notification I received - back to the original incorrect name.  The call center you have recently contracted contains reps who are overwhelmingly incompetent.
