Vacation & Sick Time expiration

Our fiscal year does not align with the calendar.  We need to set an expiration for accured sick and vacation time for July 1 annually. I can not find any setting or option for it anywhere within Quickbooks Online Payroll.  Where can this be set?

Vacation & Sick Time expiration

We're happy to have you here today, @jrogersQT.

Currently, we're unable to set an expiration date for paid time off accruals in QuickBooks Online (QBO). In the meantime, I recommend searching for a compatible third-party application that helps accomplish this task.

We understand how this option is beneficial to your business. That said, I'll help you share your valuable suggestions with our software engineers. This way, they can consider incorporating this feature in our future product enhancements. To do that:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Enter your feature request, then click Next.

Furthermore, here's an article that contains a list of payroll reports you can utilize to gather insights about your employees' earnings, tax deductions, and more:  Run payroll reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Feel free to keep me informed about any future payroll-related concerns by mentioning me in the comments below. I'll ensure to respond right away. Stay safe, and have a great rest of the day!

Yes, Intuit does too. So much so that Intuit added this option to QuickBooks Desktop over 20 years ago.  I guess this is just another of the many ways Desktop is better than Online. There's so many, it's hard to keep track...
