I have had a subscription to QBSE for a few years now. My app wasn’t working correctly. I kept getting a message saying banned when trying to log in. So I deleted and now can not find it. Can you please send a link for me to redownload and log in.

I know how precious time is for you and the relevance of having an app for QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @Numaearthworks.

Let me provide information for you to re-download the QBSE app.

To start with, QBSE Mobile has been discontinued since March 24, 2024. However, if you have already downloaded the app, you can continue to use it and receive product support and updates through the app store.

In addition, if you've installed the QBSE app on your iPhone device you can still redownload it. However, for Android devices, it's no longer available.

Here's how to re-download it:

  1. Open the App Store app.
  2. Tap the Sign-in button at the top of the screen.
  3. Click Purchased.
  4. If you use Family Sharing, tap My Purchases or select a family member’s name to view the content they purchased.
  5. Click Not on this [device name].
  6. Find the app you want to download, then tap the Download button.

For more detailed steps, visit this article: Redownload apps and games for your Apple devices from the App Store.

On the other hand, I recommend contacting our support team for clarification on why your account got banned when trying to log in to QBSE.

I'll also add this article to guide you in reviewing and downloading your transactions: Export transactions and get reports in QBSE

If you have any concerns about the QBSE app, please tag me in the comment section, @Numaearthworks. I'll assist you in any way possible.

What happened to QuickBooks Self Employed? I can only find Soloprenuer, I don't want that. Can someone direct me to the Self Employed sign up page?

Anyone else reading half the QuickBooks team responses about the “new features” of Solo-Manure why it’s supposedly better…but they aren’t giving any real information? They just kinda keep regurgitating the same info of “it’s better” but give no reason why. And any of the award winning features are the same ones QBSE did offer, just now solomanure has less of them.

it feels like the scene from the movie “Idiocracy” about Gatorade being used to water plants. It’s got electrolytes, it’s got what plants crave!
“Do you even know what electrolytes are?”

They are what plants crave!!

Solomanure has new features, just like the old one but better!

“Well what are the new features that make SoloManure worth the switch? It doesn’t have receipt capture, it’s doesn’t have auto transfer of previous files of QBSE, and it no longer allows transfers to TurboTax”

The features are new! It’s got what people crave! Maybe send your suggestions to the engineers?

Although we all appreciate what every QB responder is required to say to keep their jobs. (We know you have to be supportive even if you don’t believe it yourselves). Just be straight up with us. Sasan Goodarzi the CEO needs a new island or a 14th summer home in the Caimans, So she removed features from SoloManure to force people to have to pay for more expensive options. But remember, it’s better, even though all proof says otherwise.

Obviously I’m still very mad about this travesty, because myself and many others are on our way out due to the corporate greed of your bosses/engineers. I will be running out my existing QBSE til the end of the year, then switching to Stride. It’s a bit more manual entry, but it’s free.

What happened to QuickBooks Self Employed? I can only find Soloprenuer, I don't want that. Can someone direct me to the Self Employed sign up page?

Well this doesn’t work because they are no longer supporting the app. I’ve been unable to login since May and today they walked me through deleting it from my phone when it’s no longer in the App Store. Are you kidding me? I’ve been paying for it the whole entire time so they’re not supporting existing customers because if you can’t use it you’re not being supported. This is actually fraud.  Someone needs a class action lawsuit on behalf of existing customers.

why would you tell somebody to use Solopreneur when they just told you in their question that it doesn’t have the features that self-employed does? You guys are completely out of touch with your customers and what they find important to them. I’ve been a consultant for Fortune 100 companies this is a terrible way to do business.

Just like this ridiculous discontinuing of software not telling the customers and continuing to charge them you’re not listening to your customers. People in here are telling you that Solopreneur does not do what they want.  Yet you keep hawking it. And today on the phone you told me it’s not even available.

You didn’t even understand why your customers buy self-employed to begin with and now you’ve made it crap—you’ve ruined it.  You’ve taken it out of the App Store, after telling me to delete it so I can’t get it back, existing customers are being charged and they can’t use it and it’s not working—and you want to offer them a substandard product you’re probably charging more for.

You don’t deserve to be in business anymore and I guarantee you people are going to find an alternative and not come back.  This was my favorite app and I referred so many people to this app and now you’re dead to me.

i’m really mad that after wasting hours of my time not being able to login I just found out today you discontinued it then you walked me through removing it from my phone now I can’t get it back because it’s no longer in the App Store — even though you’re freaking charging me for it and you even raised the price! By the way charging people for something they can’t use is fraud.

I don’t know why you’re blocking my replies. People are already telling you they don’t want Solopreneur it doesn’t do what they want. That’s not why they were using Self-Employed and they don’t want it. You guys have made a really big mistake.

You failed to understand your customer and just like Bud Light you’re gonna go the way of the dinosaur.

Today when I’ve been reporting a login problem for months instead of telling me that you discontinued self-employed and are trying to push Solopreneur on people that they don’t want, because it doesn’t meet the same need, they walked me through deleting it from my phone. It is no longer available in the App Store so you cannot follow those instructions.

Since we are supposedly grandfathered in and I’ve been paying for it and unable to login since at least May how do I get what I’ve already paid for back?  And please don’t tell me to go to the website because it doesn’t do the same thing.

Oh so you shouldn’t be putting this off on yourself for engineers this is a business decision and it’s a bad one. You guys have screwed up royally removing some thing when you don’t even understand the features that are most important to your customers and replacing it with something that doesn’t do that, and not even telling customers when they suddenly can’t login WHY.  It’s obvious that the company is not being run well.  And that’s my professional experience talking I was a fortune 100 consultant specializing in technical areas.

@Pamiamm  As the saying goes, never assume malice when incompetence will serve.

Which is to say, I doubt they're blocking your replies. They're simply not competent enough to design a forum on par with those of the 90s.

None of these instructions work and NO I DONT WANT SOLOPRENEUR IT DOES NOT DO RECEIPT matching.

First I could not log in. Still can’t. 403 error since MAY. Your attachments aren’t working either.

Then instead of telling me a long-term customer that you were discontinuing something I use all the time you just made it impossible for me to get support when I couldn’t login because you have to have the app to get support.

Here we are now months later and I finally decided to tackle this again because my trips aren’t getting tracked and my receipts aren’t getting scanned — the two things I use it for — and you walk me through deleting it from my phone and now I can’t get it back from the Apple store.

if I click on purchased I still can’t login I cannot find the app on my phone because it was removed from my screen, but if I try to click on it to download it again it does not exist in the store. It still thinks it’s on my phone but it’s not. Your instructions don’t work.

You’ve been taking my money without providing anything since at least May and that’s fraudulent so I want access to my data and what I’ve paid for.

This is a terrible business decision and the CEO of your company needs to understand how bad somebody screwed up. You are losing customers left and right because everybody’s talking about how horrible you are.

It is not the experience we want you to have, @Pamiamm. Let me share more information about the QuickBooks Self-Employed.

As my colleague mentioned, QBSE mobile application has been discontinued. This means that the app will no longer receive security patches and updates. Intuit is no longer offering the subscription, and the QBSE app has not been available for download in the app store since March 24th.

I can see that you've already followed the steps shared on the previous thread in finding the app. This way, you can redownload it in your app store account history.

Please know that you can still access your account using a mobile browser such as Safari and Google Chrome. I know that this may take some time getting used to, but I want to assure you that you'll be able to log in using your browser. For your trips, you will need to manually track your mileage in QBSE. Follow these steps how:
  1. Select Miles.
  2. Edit the Date and enter the distance in the Add miles field.
  3. Add a Trip purpose note.
  4. Hit Save.

For your expense receipt, you can upload them manually or use the receipt forwarding picture.

I'll be here if you still have questions about your Intuit log-in. Take care always.

Oh I like you, Pammiam! PREACH IT!

As it is, lately, I’ve been having to manually enter most of my mileage as it simply isn’t tracking it properly. I keep thinking to myself that I should just bite the bullet and set aside some time to enter in the last seven months of driving and transactions into Stride, as I am already going to leave QuickBooks altogether at the end of the year. Might as well save myself $150

I'm just discovering this now as well.  The app QBSE no longer works on my android.  I may need to call customer service, as I've been paying a monthly subscription for this service!

I went to make a new invoice in Solopreneur yesterday and it auto linked it to two old payments and marked itself as paid before I even sent it! Yet we're not allowed to link up our payments and invoices ourselves like in qb Self-employed (or split intuit payments as needed to break off client expenses like in Self-employed). Ultimately, I can't bill my client and can't get paid using this very soft software. Time to go.

Moving to a new platform can be a little tricky at first, Makingclothes. Allow me to join you and share guidance about the invoicing feature.

Please know that QuickBooks Solopreneur offers similar functionality to QuickBooks Self-Employed, but with additional features.

Regarding the old payments that were automatically applied to the invoices, can you provide more details about them? I'd be happy to look into this further and provide the appropriate steps to help you sort it out.

Also, QuickBooks Solopreneur does not have a feature that would automatically apply downloaded or manually added payments to invoices.

In the meantime, you can mark the invoice unpaid before sending it to your customer. Let me show you how:

  1. Go back to the Invoices tab and look for the invoice.
  2. Click the drop-down list beside Print and select Mark as unpaid.
  3. Choose Mark as unpaid.

solo.png

Additionally, QuickBooks SoloPreneur offers a Split function for transactions that have been downloaded or imported, similar to what you can do in QBSE. Allow me to share the steps on how you can use it.

  1. Go to the Bank transactions tab and select a transaction that you want to split.
  2. Hover your mouse over the transaction to see an Edit or Pencil icon, then click on it.
  3. Choose Add a split.
  4. Add the other category and click Save.

Here's an article that talks about this feature a little more: Split Transactions In QuickBooks Solopreneur.

I've spent hours on the phone with customer service and hours emailing with devs at QB over the invoice bugs. And I do not have more time to spend helping a company fix it's dysfunctional software for free. I cancelled Soloprenuer today and am happily moving on.
