what is due date for 1Q 2020 941 tax return

Hello there, @ED42.

Your state may change its tax payment and filing deadlines due to the COVID-19. In response, some state tax agencies have either offered waivers or extensions. Here's a list of states currently offering: Tax Deadline Changes.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'll be here. Have a beautiful day.

There is NO CHANGE to 4/30 deadline for submission of form and payments for the federal Q1 941 form.

Certain personal and business INCOME tax returns have been delayed but employment forms are not included. You do have the right, albeit misdirected, to defer your employer share of FICA only for wages paid afterv3/22/20 (6.2%) to December of this and next year. And the Q2 941 will have that option

Thank you for your reply

My state (NY) is not on your list unfortunately

I am also interested in any extension for Federal 941 tax return for 1Q 2020

I have one client where I am not connected remotely and I would like to avoid visiting their office

Just need to efile return where all deposits were made

Any suggestions to do a one shot deal? Right Networks?

Thank you

Hi @ED42,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I'll point you in the right direction about your query on Form 941 1Q 2020 deadline.

At this point, I suggest contacting your state tax agency or IRS to confirm if they offer a deadline extension. This way, you can get updated information about the tax return deadline. And if they do offer an extension, they can provide you the ways on how to proceed.
