Sending invite

I am very frustrated I really would just like some help or to speak with someone. I have a new hire Kenneth Koons email [email address removed] I sent a invite and when he open it he was unable to accept the invite. He was given an error code your administrator has not granted you access to quick books online plus. I am not sure how to help him move forward. Please help with some guidance.

Thank you Amylee Davis

Sending invite

Hello, Amylee Davis.

For one, I would also get frustrated if I encounter any issues when using a program. That said, I do have a solution to help Kenneth fix the error message and have him accept the invitation successfully.

Kenneth is likely experiencing a cache-related issue in his end. Send the invite again and let him access his email and accept the invitation using an incognito or private browser (good way to rule out any cache-related issues). You can share these shortcut keys to him:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

Let him accept the invitation email (using the incognito browser). When he's able to access your Intuit Online Payroll (or QuickBooks Online) company, have him go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This helps remove the data that's causing the error.

You can share this article in case they need help doing it: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

They can also use another supported browser as an alternative.

After letting him in, they can start working on your company file for payroll or any other tasks assigned to him. If both of you need help, you can always browse for our guides in our general topics page. Select a topic, then browse or search for an article.

I'll keep this thread open if you need help managing your payroll account. I can also answer any other concerns you might have for QuickBooks.
