To get started, may I ask for a screenshot of the problem you've encountered? Or could you provide me with the specifics of the issue you experienced? 

 

In the meantime, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to determine if it's a browser issue. 

 

The browser's cache saves files on your computer which enables the website to download faster on your next visit. However, it can also get outdated over time, leading to problems in accessing websites. 

 

We can open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account on an incognito window. Doing so will prevent the browser history from being saved.  

 

Please refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with a clean slate.

Unable to add a location for payroll setup.

On set up, there is a step requesting that the Primary Work Location. When I click next I receive a message stating there is no value (see attachment). I've cleared the cache and used incognito, but still no resolution. When I check my profile settings, the address is showing up, but I cannot get past this step to move forward and set up payroll

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

 

If you can successfully add a location, return to your regular browser and clear the cache. Occasionally, the accumulated cache and cookies in the system can become outdated or corrupted, leading to unexpected behaviors. Additionally, they can switch to other supported browsers that are already installed, which is also a good alternative. 

 

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our payroll support team. They can pull up your account securely, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

yeah, I did that.  your support team can't fix it either. In fact according to them "As of the moment we are getting high volume of chats regarding this issue.  Most of our customers are getting the same issue that you have right now. We do have an on going Investigation for your concern.  Engineers are aware of the issue and it is in the process of being prioritized/investigated...we do not have an ETA for resolution at this time."  There is an error on that specific web page, when setting up the primary work location.  Its a shame how expensive this program is for it to have such an error where it wont let you proceed to the next step of set up.  I was in a chat for 2 hours yesterday and the tech had no clue what to do, at least the tech today was honest about the issue.
