I am using Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Time. Overtime shown in Time does not transfer to QBKS Payroll Overtime, adds it into regular pay. For example, if Time show 80.00 regular pay and 1 hour overtime, when I export to Quickbooks payroll, it shows up as 81.00 hours Regular pay and nothing in overtime. And, yes, I have the employees receiving overtime sept up in Quickbooks payroll.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community, SaraSVDP. I'd be more than happy to help you get your overtime hours syncing into QuickBooks properly.
I was able to pull up your account and identify why overtime isn't syncing into QuickBooks like you're expecting it to. Currently, your payroll item mapping settings are set to allow team members to choose payroll items themselves.
This means if an employee doesn't choose overtime for a timesheet, it won't be exported into QuickBooks as overtime. If they need to enter overtime on a timesheet, they'll need to select an overtime payroll item when entering their time. That way it will be exported into QuickBooks as overtime.
If your team members don't need control over their payroll items and you'd prefer to change your settings, you can do so anytime.
Here's how:
I've also included a detailed resource about mapping payroll items which may come in handy moving forward: Map payroll items
I'll be here to help if there's any questions. Have a great day!
My response says Failed Authentication?
I am familiar with Payroll Mapping. The problem is that our employees would not know if they have overtime until after 40 hours. It is cumulative throughout the week.
Also, QBKS Time payroll report separates the Overtime from Regular Pay. It simply doesn't transfer over to Payroll that way. Other Pay Sections, like Weekend and Late Shift, transfer effortlessly.
Thank you for your response.
