We have a July - June fiscal year. Can I see Vacation and Sick Time used for the fiscal year rather than a calendar year?

If this report can only be run for a calendar year, can I run it for last year?

Hello there, RoncalliJets.

In QBO, you can only run the Vacation and Sick Leave Report via the calendar year. If you wish to view the previous year’s information, run the Payroll Summary Report and open each worker’s payroll data. From there, you’ll be able to view the hours accrued, used, and available for sick and vacation leave.

Here’s how:

  1. In your company, tap the Reports menu on the left panel to enter the Payroll Summary Report in the field box.
  2. Click the Date Range drop-down to select Last year and set the report with the correct information.
  3. Choose the employee you’re working on to view the payroll information.
  4. Navigate to the Time off Vacation section to check the sick and vacation time details.
  5. Perform these steps for the remaining employees.

I'm adding some screenshots on how it looks like.sick.pngsick1.png

Let me share this article to help you in the future. It provides a list of payroll reports in QBO. Also, you’ll find instructions on how to access the report, customize one, and print it: Run payroll reports.

I also invite you to visit the QuickBooks Blog to learn the latest news, features, and enhancements about the product. It contains resources and topics that will guide you on how to grow your business.

Feel free to visit us again if you need help with QBO. I’ll be around to assist further. Wishing your business continued success.

This was far too labor-intensive to do for all of our employees. I ended up running a Payroll Summary by Employee, dumping it into excel, creating a pivot table (because the payroll reports out of Quickbooks are entirely unusable in their legacy row/column format), and working with that. At least I had a table to work with and didn't need to drill down into each employee's payroll history.
