- Update QuickBooks Desktop for Windows to the latest release.
- Open the company file in QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
- Re-sort lists.
- Rebuild and Verify your company file data.
- Go to File menu.
- From the Utilities and select Copy Company File for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
- Save the file in your desired location. This creates a file with the extension MAC.qbb.
- Send the copy to the Mac computer using whatever method you prefer.
Once done, you can restore the file using QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. Please follow the steps below to learn how:
- In the No Company Open window, select Browse, then locate the file you want to restore.
- Select OK.
- Enter a name for the restored file then select Save.
