What happened to "Latest Date" option in payroll tax payments?

Until this week, when I processed payroll and then paid payroll taxes, I had the option from a drop-down menu to select the "Latest Date" to issue the tax payments. Now I have to pick a date on my own. It is not obvious how much time Quickbooks needs to process the payment or that if I set the payment to the due date that it will get paid on time. I love Quickbook updates that make my job harder. Anyone know why this changed and can I set the payment date to the due date?

It's great to see you back in the Community. I appreciate you coming here with your question about tax payments. 

 

Since you had this option once before, I recommend trying some troubleshooting steps to be sure this isn't the cause of the problem. 

 

Using a private browser or incognito window will help eliminate any errors or glitches that could be occurring in your account. Here's how depending on your browser session: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift +
  • Internet Explorer/Firefox: Ctrl + Shift +
  • Safari: Command + Shift +

 

If this works, go back to your regular session and clear your browser's history. If not, using a different support browser could help.

Thanks for the suggestion. I first saw this issue in Edge browser. So at your suggestion I switched to a Chrome browser in incognito mode. The same issue happens. The screen for payroll tax payments have changed design--new layout is vertical instead of horizontal and the text and options have changed. So this appears to be a design change instead of a gliche, cache or workstation issue. I also notice that I get a payment confirmation but the payment date in the confirmation is different than the payment date I specified--see attached. This looks like something that just rolled out. I'd like to get the old functionality back and I think the data in the input and confirmation screens needs to be corrected. Is this something you can help with? Or do I need to post to feedback?
