I can give you some more information on locating your 1099 from the documents section.
As soon as your company submits the final documents to the IRS, you can only access your 1099 in the document section. You will then receive an invitation to view it online by clicking on the link in the email you have got or by logging in to your account and going to the Documents section to view and print your 1099.
The document section will only appear on the left-hand side after the client has submitted your 1099 to the IRS.
