Your payroll may be on hold due to insufficient funds. QuickBooks will send an email to the Principal Officer or Primary Principal listed on the account about the status. You can also check this article on how to resolve a non-sufficient funds (NSF) hold on your payroll service.
If you did not receive the email, I recommend reaching out to our Payroll Support Team. They can pull up your account to further investigate why your payroll is on hold.

- Click the Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
- In the Help window, click the Contact Us button located at the bottom.
- Enter your question and click Let's talk.
- Choose either Start a chat or Call us.
