2012 to new computer

Yes, you can transfer your data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2012 data to your newer version. All you have to do is create a backup of the previous company file. Then, restore its file to your latest version of QuickBooks.

1. Click the File menu and select Switch to Single-user Mode.
2. Go back to the File menu again and hover over Back up Company. Then, select Create Local Backup.
3. In the window, select Local Backup and then Next.
4. From the Local Backup Only section, click Browse and select where you want to save your backup company file.
5. When you're ready, select OK.
6. Click Save it now and Next.
