Buy nowI have been using Quickbboks Desktop Pro 2017 and have recently bought a new laptop. When installing Quickbboks on my new laptop from my original CD it comes up with a warning bar that says ' You have reached the maximum number of unregistered users, you must register now'. When I click on the "register now" button, it takes me to the "activate quickbooks now" page, but when i click "activate now" it says "navigation to the webpage was cancelled". If I go to "Help", "renew my licencce by phone", it requires an activation code. How do I go about getting that activation code.
Can you login to CAMPS and find your license code there?
Another option, purchase another 2017 license to replace it.

I have the same problem, I have the License number and Product Number, but when I want to activate, I receive " Navigation to the webpage was canceled" with a "Refresh" button. When I press the "Refresh" button, the next comes up: "Can’t reach this page" -
Nothing else.

Have you tried what my colleague suggests about logging in to your CAMPS account to retrieve a validation code for your QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2017? Since that version is now considered a legacy product and is no longer officially supported, the original activation servers are often inactive, which may be why your browser is unable to connect.
If that doesn't work, it is best to contact our live support team, as they have the specialized tools necessary to manually generate a validation code for older versions of QuickBooks Desktop.

The CAMPS link wants me to sign in, which I did, but it does not help at all. I linked to quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/contact and waiting for assistance.
The version is from 2017 and I do not know if it is from US or Canada.
It's possible you're using QB Desktop Canadian version. Install the trial version and open your company file to be sure.

You can download a 30-day trial from our Download a trial of QuickBooks article. In the Download a 30-day trial of QuickBooks Desktop section, you'll see a trial install file. This is what you use to download it. After you have a copy, run it to begin the installation process.
Before you start, confirm your computer meets the minimum requirements to install QuickBooks.
If you need to download a different version or update, you can visit our Downloads & Updates page. From there, you'll be able to select a Country, Product, and Version, then begin a download of your file.

You'll first need to know which country version you have. If you have QB Desktop 2017 Canadian version, CAMPS isn't relevant to you.
My QuickBooks is still on my old laptop, is there a way to see which version (Canadian or not) it is?
Open your company file and check what tax terms you see. GST or Sales Tax?
It refers to VAT / Value Added Tax, keeping in mind I am in South Africa.
You are not using US or CA version. Intuit has discontinued your version and they won't help to reactivate your license. You should convert your data to QB Online South Africa version. If you prefer to keep using QB Desktop, you will need to use the trial version as a workaround. You can contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA via email directly for details.
