Let's make sure that you're able to import the transactions, sse77mse-gmail-c.

Can you share with us the exact error message and the name of the bank? In the meantime, you can follow some troubleshooting steps that can resolve common issues when working in the Banking menu.

First, make sure that your QuickBooks is on the latest maintenance release. Doing this installs minor fixes to some of the most common bugs that might have caused the issue. Here's a guide for more details: Update QuickBooks Desktop To The Latest Release.

Second, double-check that the account is active and correctly set up in your Chart of Accounts. Here's how:

  1. Open your Chart of Accounts and look for the credit card account.
  2. Right-click on the account and select Edit Account
  3. make sure the Account Type is set to Credit Card.
  4. Click Save and close.

Once done, go back to the Bank Feeds section and import the QBO file once again. You can also repair QuickBooks just in case you're still getting the same error. Let me share this with you as a guide: Repair Your QuickBooks Desktop For Windows.

After your file successfully, you can check out this article on how to assign categories to your credit card transactions: Add And Match Bank Feed Transactions In QuickBooks Desktop.

Don't hesitate to reach out to us again if you have follow-up questions. As always, we're always here to help.

I have this same issue after upgrading to Desktop 2021. None of the fixes you suggested have worked. Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks!

Let's make sure to fix this issue so you'll be able to import your credit card transactions successfully, Corki.

You can re-sort the chart of accounts to fix any odd behavior and makes your account go back to its default order. To do this, you can follow the steps below.

  1. From the Lists menu, select either Chart of AccountsItems, or Classes.
  2. Select the All Names checkbox.
  3. Select Edit at the top left of QuickBooks.
  4. Select Re-sort List.
  5. Select OK.

If not, you can download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub tool to fix this unusual behavior. However, if you're still unable to import your transactions, you can reach out to our support team so they can double-check why this is happening.
