Can I use quickbooks self-employed to file an extension?

Hi there, @sustainably-livi.

For now, filing an extension of time to file your tax return isn't available in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

However, you can directly visit the IRS website to file the extension. Simply click this link here: https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/extension-of-time-to-file-your-tax-return

Please take note that filing an extension only extends the time for filing your official tax return. It does not extend the time for paying the tax liability.

In addition, I've included an article how to get your tax info from QuickBooks for each quarter and wrap things up at the end of the year. You can find it here: Get quarterly and annual tax info from QBSE.

In case you need help in performing other tasks in QBSE, you can check our articles here. Make sure that the topic is set as "QuickBooks Self-Employed."

If there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know. I'll be around to help you.
