file does not exist on Mac

Hello, I would like to know if anyone had this problem before. We are using QuickBooks server 2021 in our small office and we have a file when shared, a pop up will appear saying the file does not exist. Taking down the server and opening it in the computer will open just fine. We had reinstalled QuickBooks server and QuickBooks 2021. We also tired to repair the file, move it around, renaming it, changing the permissions bit no luck. tired enabling Multiuser admin mode but that causes our other files to have the same error but still having the same error. I've seen that there is a fix but it applies to Windows users. Help. Thank you for you time.

Hi there, redfox1

I appreciate all the steps you've performed so you can open the file. Since you're still getting the same results, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, they'll be able to check further the root cause of the issue and provide additional troubleshooting steps.

To reach them, here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the Help menu at the top.
  3. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help
  4. Type Contact Us in the search box. Then, click on Contact Us at the bottom.
  5. Select the way you wish to connect with support.

Ensure to review their support hours, so you'll know when agents are available.

Additionally, to learn how to manage your books in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, see this article: QuickBooks for Mac user's guide
