get back in to QB

I am using Quickbooks Pro 2018, after doing an update and rebooting, I keep getting the message to reboot.

I have rebooted several times and still get the message to reboot before I can get back into QB.

How do stop getting this request to reboot and get back to work?

get back in to QB

Hi there, @cyclone3211.

I appreciate you for trying multiple steps to isolate the issue. I've got the additional instructions to help you get back to QuickBooks smoothly. I'm here to share them with you.

First, I recommend uninstalling your QuickBooks Desktop. Then, reinstall the application.

To uninstall QuickBooks:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Search for “Control Panel”, then open Control Panel.
  3. Select Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program.
  4. From the list of installed programs, select the version of QuickBooks Desktop you're having problems with.
  5. Tap Uninstall/Change and then Remove
  6. Tap Next.  If you don’t see this option, sign out and sign back into Windows as an admin (or a user with admin rights).

After that, download and reinstall QuickBooks. For the detailed instructions, I recommend checking out this article: Install QuickBooks Desktop.

Moreover, you can also uninstall QuickBooks and manually rename the installation folders

Once done, I also suggest checking out the topics from our help articles for more tips while working with QuickBooks in the future.

get back in to QB

Just have not found the answer.  Intuit help tried twice and no matter what was tried, the original message of "need to reboot and doing an update" or something similar, keeps coming back every time I try and start QB.

I have deleted the original install, reinstalled, and went through the directory, and eliminated any reference to QB, and still get that same message on every try in opening QB.

The last try is that I went to Intuit download and did a new download from that.   I will install the new, register it with my original registration, and if I get that same message prior to QB opening, I am done with it.

If you keep doing the same thing and get the same results every time, you stop before you go NUTS!

Thanks for the response, but I am at the last dance.
