Got Self-Employed QB, but with a day or two, saw that I needed more. I upgraded with the app to Essentials. Now I'm being charged for a second month for Self-Employed. ??

There is no upgrade path from QBSE to anything else. You will have to log in to your QBSE account to cancel it following procedure here https://community.intuit.com/articles/1768929-cancel-your-quickbooks-self-employed-subscription

 If you have any documentation that QBSE would be cancelled when you switched to the different platform then you shoukd call sales support to request a refund (Do that anyway) 

 

Use the contact intuit links to get the correct phone numbet, it is never publicly posted. Nobody here in the community has access to your accounts
