Has anyone else gotten this Error -6000, -832 since upgrade to Windows 10 and Quickbooks Pro 2016?

I see this error every day when I change from multi-user to single-user mode to do backups.  I cannot get back into Quickbooks after that.  I literally have to go to the uninstall feature and pick repair.

Hi toolrepairs,

I'd like to help.

If you're getting Error -6000, -832 when opening QuickBooks, this normally occurs when hosting is turned on or the .ND file is not working properly.

Please check the Basic troubleshooting for -6000 series errors when opening a company file article for the possible fixes of the error that you’re getting.

Feel free to let us know if you have other questions.

I get this error as well.  I have to restart my computer in order to get back into QB.

I had this problem, but the problem was QB needed to download more updates before updating your company file to the new QB version.  I think I also rebooted to make sure.  Company file updated to new QB version and all well.

Hello there, @mohoosier.

If you get the same error when opening your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file, here's the most updated link/article with the detailed steps that can help isolate this issue: Resolve Error -6000, when opening a company file.

That should point you in the right direction. Please let me know how it goes or if you have any follow-up questions or concerns. I'm always here if you need further assistance. Take care and have a great day!
