Having trouble connecting self-employed to Square. Anyone else too ?

I understand the importance of connecting your Square account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), Daniel. I'm here to share insights about this.

Currently, the connection between QBSE and Square is unavailable. This feature is only available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a workaround, you can manually upload your transactions via CSV file.

We can start by signing into the Square website and following the on-screen instructions on downloading them. Once you have a .CSV file, you can import it to QBSE.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear ⚙ icon and select Imports.
  2. Choose the appropriate account to add the transactions.
  3. Click Browse and find the CSV file you downloaded from your bank.
  4. Select the file, then click Open.
  5. Click Continue to complete the process.

After importing them, you can start categorizing your transactions to ensure they are allocated to the correct accounts.

For reference on how to manually enter single transactions and recent transactions in QuickBooks, check these articles:

Let me know if you have more questions besides connecting Square to QBSE. I'm always ready to help. Have a good one.
