In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the system automatically backs your data up with the same level of security used by banks and financial institutions (FI). You can refer to this article for more information: Do I need to back up my data with QuickBooks Online?
However, if you need to have a copy of the company data, QBO has an export feature that will let you move reports or lists to Excel.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon at the top right to get to the Export Data.
- In the Reports tab, pick your preferred date in the drop-down.
- Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by toggling the slider.
- Once done, hit Export to Excel.
