Hi, I upgraded my Mac OS and made my Quickbooks 2013 desktop version inoperable. I have backup company files. How do I transfer to QB online?

Hello there, @joshiradin

Welcome to the Community. Glad to know that you still have the backup of your company files.

I'll show you how to transfer file from your Mac to QB Online:

  1. Open your company file in QuickBooks Mac.
  2. Click File, then select Export to QuickBooks Online
  3. Open Your QuickBooks Online account and sign in.
  4. Click OK, got it. QuickBooks imports your data.

Once the import is complete, you'll receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.

For future reference, read through this article: What to do after converting from QuickBooks Desktop for Windows or Mac to QuickBooks Online. Everything you have to know after conversion is listed in this topic.

Feel free to message again if you have additional concerns. We're always delighted to help.

@joshiradin

If you have to open a new QBO account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 6 months. If you purchase from the trial account, you have to pay the regular price.
