How do I fix Error 155

Hello, @united-lawn-care.

Let me share some information to resolve the error you've received.

Error 155 occurs when your bank is currently not allowing any integration with QuickBooks. Just to clarify, what specific bank are you getting the error prompt?

In the meantime, let's perform the following troubleshooting steps to trigger connection updates.

  1. Log in to your bank’s website outside QuickBooks.
  2. Review your posted transactions and check for any connectivity error notifications.
  3. Once completed, log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  4. Let’s perform a manual update on your connected bank account.
  5. Go to the Banking menu.
  6. Choose the Banking tab.
  7. Select your bank account.
  8. Click Update.
  9. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.
  10. Click the Continue update button.

Also, I'd recommend contacting your bank's dedicated Customer Care Team. They have the specific tools to look up your account and allow the connection. You can check this article for more insights about the error: Fix Banking Error 155.

If the issue persists, you can log in to your bank and download a copy of your transactions. You can then import them to your QuickBooks account. For step-by-step instructions, you may check to this article: Import transactions from other sources.

Fill me in if you have other questions about connecting your bank with QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.

How do I fix Error 155

We haven't received any reported issues for the First Community Credit Union bank, united-lawn-care.

If you're still getting the same error after following the troubleshooting steps above, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) Support Team. They have the tools to help resolve this error.

To reach them:

  1. Go to Help, click on Contact us.
  2. Enter your concern in the Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) field and select Continue.
  3. Choose either Start a chat or Get a callback.

In the meantime, you'll want to upload transactions manually as suggested by my peer, juVielL. From there, you can now categorize each transaction.

Keep us posted if you have any other concerns. We'll be around.
