- Choose the Back-Up Company tab, then select Set Up/Activate Online Backup.
- Enter your email address and password you used when you signed up.
- Hit Continue.
- Pick your company file, then click Continue.
- Put a check marked in the Back up local selected documents and tap Continue again.
- Choose files and folders you'd like to back up, then Continue.
- Select a backup schedule and press Continue.
- Set up the notification settings, hit Continue.
For the detailed guide and how to manage your backups, please visit this article: Set up Intuit Data Protect to back up files
Once done, you can now create a back using IDP. It will back up your files and folders automatically once a day. You can also back up manually at any time. Let me guide you how:
- Open your IDP and click the green padlock on the Windows toolbar.
- Choose Back up now.
- Select the files and folders you’d like to back up, and select Continue.
- Hit Backup now and hit OK.
You can always check your backup history inside your IDP account. Simply click the View Backup History from the Main Intuit Data Protect section. For more information about the process, check out this article: Open Intuit Data Protect to check Backup Status, view Backup History, or change Backup Settings.
Feel free to leave a comment below if you have other questions. I'll always here for you. Have a great day.
