It's great to see a new face here in the Community! Allow me to give you some information about an expired trial QuickBooks Desktop account.
Since you're not finished with setting up your accounts in the system, you have two options available:
Option 1: Get another trial account and move the data that you can over to the new trial.
Option 2: Start the process of transitioning into an actual subscription so you can keep working on your company file.
