You can only upload a desktop file to QBO in the first 60 days of your subscription

and the upload is an overwrite it does NOT update the QBO file

Intuit wants you to use QBO or desktop but not both

I've got some troubleshooting solutions we can perform to upload your updated file into QuickBooks Onlne (QBO), mwells.

What specific error message you've encountered? When importing the Desktop file into QBO, let's make sure QuickBooks is up-to-date to the latest release. Then, ensure your company file isn’t too big to export.

Also, you can only move a company file within 60 days after signing up with your Online account.

If you met the requirements, try importing your updated company file into QBO again. For the steps and details, you can check out the Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online article.

If you encounter any error messages, you can check out this article to troubleshoot the problem: How to fix errors when converting from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Keep me in the loop if you need anything else with converting your company files into QBO. I'd be glad to help.
